Pricing of images
The costs of the images depend on where and how the images are to be used, as well as the quality of the image. Prices are correct as of June 2004.

Schools and educational institutions for classroom use. All the images are copyright free within the institution but cannot be sold on or used in publications for sale or profit. See the copyright section for more details.

  • 1-9 images for website (72dpi) £5.00 per image - sent via e-mail
  • 10+ images for website (72dpi) £3.00 per image - sent via e-mail or CD-ROM
  • 50+ images for website (72dpi) £2.00 per image - sent via CD-ROM
  • 1-9 images for worksheet / classroom (300dpi) £5.00 per image - sent via e-mail
  • 10+ images for worksheet / classroom (300dpi) £3.00 per image - sent via e-mail or CD-ROM
  • 50+ images for worksheet / classroom (300dpi) £2.00 per image - sent via CD-ROM

Commercial institutions use for publications for advertisement or profit. All the images are copyrighted for the intended purpose and cannot be used outside this agreement, sold on or used in publications for sale or profit. See the copyright section for more details. Prices for image use follow the guidelines of the British Association of Picture Libraries but are negotiable and will depend on:

  • Type of publication
  • Where in the publication
  • Size of usage
  • Territory rights required
  • Print run

Collections

In each area of the site the images are divided into sections:

e.g. In modern Foreign Languages the collections are:

  • French
  • German
  • Spanish
  • Italian
  • Portuguese

Each of these collections is priced at £30.00 (schools) and £100.00 (institutions). If you would like to purchase the images for an entire subject area please contact us to discuss details.
